Student Admissions for Colorado Technical University

Here's what you need to know about applying for Admission to CTU.


Prospective students are encouraged to visit the CTU campus that interests them and speak with an Admissions Representative to learn about our application process and about the degree programs best suited to their needs. It is also possible for students living far away from one of our CTU campuses to take a virtual tour of the campus and complete an online application for admission to the school.

Admissions requirements for all degree programs at Colorado Technical University include a high school diploma or GED, a personal interview with the school and, in certain programs, successful performance on one or more entrance assessments.

Undergraduate Requirements Master's Requirements Apply Online

Enrolling undergraduate students at some CTU education also must take an Accuplacer exam. This computerized placement test assists our Academic Representative with information about the student's skill levels in reading, writing and mathematics.

Transfer: Student desiring a degree who has previously attended another post-secondary institution

  • Submit attestation of high school graduation or equivalent
  • Be in good standing with previously attended educational institutions
  • Completed, signed application and paid $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Official transcripts from all transferring post-secondary institutions attended (to be obtained after application submitted)
Non-Degree: Student taking individual classes or seeking certificates only
  • Colorado Technical University application
  • Interview with an Admissions Representative
  • Submit attestation of high school graduation or equivalent
  • Completed, signed application and paid $50 non-refundable application fee
Guest Student: High school student taking CTU courses
  • Colorado Technical University application
  • Student and parent or legal guardian interview with an Admissions Representative
  • Recommendation from a school official
  • Completed, signed application and paid $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Letter of recommendation from a school official
NOTE: Students who wish to convert to a degree-seeking status must complete required documentation and meet all admissions requirements.

Master's Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a U.S. institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or equivalent agency of a foreign government
  • Completed, signed application and paid $50 non-refundable application fee
  • Official transcript of the bachelor-granting institution (obtained by CTU after the application is submitted)
